WHAT IS JESUS PROM?
The Jesus Prom is an annual themed event held by Southland Christian Church in Lexington, Kentucky for physically and/or mentally challenged adults. Each year, hundreds of volunteers and guests come and enjoy an evening with an amazing atmosphere of acceptance and love that has become the trademark of the Prom.
This event is such an amazing idea and could be duplicated in your local community! This event will require some time to prepare for, but the rewards will far outweigh the efforts necessary. This is a way to give a very special group of people an evening to feel loved and cared for. Not only will you bless them, but their families will be blessed beyond your imagination. The Jesus Prom can be held at your school or church facility.
Volunteers will be needed in the following capacities:
Hair and make-up for the girls
food preparation (snacks during the event)
decorations
This is best designed for high school students. They will enjoy being able to impact the lives of such precious young adults! Begin now, planning for your local JESUS PROM!
